    Kingsman: The Secret Service Poster
Have you seen this movie? Well, if you haven’t, you should!

Kingsman: The Secret Service is a spy movie. As stated by the title, its main focus is on a secret service agency called Kingsman. When one of the agents was killed, the agency started searching for a new candidate to replace him. While other agents promote educated, high class young people, Harry Hart aka Galahad choose Eggsy, a military-school-drop-out-turn-criminal young man whose father was a candidate who was killed in his last stage of the test to become a Kingsman agent.

While Eggsy undergoes his training and test to become an agent, important people are going missing and Valentine, a businessman, is expanding his telecommunication business and producing SIM cards that will be distributed for free for everybody in the world. These SIM cards provide “free calls, free internet, forever”. Turns out, Valentine has a bad, hidden agenda. Then a twist happens and Eggsy has to save the world (just like any other hero).

Before deciding to watch this movie, I had already heard people talked about how good it was. So I had a really high expectations when I bought the ticket. And I was satisfied with it! The story is not particularly good, but I really like the action and the music. The director, Matthew Vaughn (Kickass, X-Men: First Class), smoothly used slow motion in a hilarious way that even the most violent scene becomes funny. Watching this movie is almost like watching a Marvel movie, with the action and the cleverly inserted humours.

Also, who doesn’t like men in suits? Or men in suits kicking ass? Or Colin Firth in suits kicking ass? *scream*

And look at this hottie? Doesn’t he look a lot like Josh Hutcherson? They both look so cute and so hot!

And how about Nick Fury without his eyepatch and with more swag?

Oh dear, how I love this movie!

  • Eating: D’poer Pizza and ShinMen

    Pizzas at D'poer Pizza Kopo

On Sunday morning, Afief and I had a brunch at D’poer Pizza. It’s a small pizzeria in Kopo, Bandung. We had two small pizzas, garlic bread, and soft drinks. I love D’poer Pizza because their pizza crust is hands down the best pizza crust I’ve ever tasted (even better than that of Pizza Hut and Dominos). Their prices are also considerably lower, so it’s a win for me.

And yesterday afternoon, I went out to see a bunch of uni friends. We had lunch at ShinMen in Paris van Java mall. ShinMen is a Japanese restaurant. We ordered ramen noodles. Mine was a Kimchi Ramen. I never really like Japanese food, so I didn’t think ramen was all that great. This Kimchi Ramen made it worse because it was made of 80% vegetables, 10% meat, and 10% noodle. I wanted noodle, but they gave me veggies. So… No. Not my taste.

After the lunch, we watched Kingsman: The Secret Service. It was soooo good. I may write a review this Thursday. See you then!

  • Weekend Links

Hey, there! What are you up to this weekend? While writing this post, I’m currently making donuts. This morning I logged on to my laptop to read my favourite blogs and the very first thing I saw was this picture of donuts in Amanda’s post. It was so tempting that I had to go to the nearest Borma (it’s like Walmart of Indonesia) and bought supplies for making donut. Stay tune on my Instagram to see how bad it turns out. Haha

During this week, I’ve found several interesting reads on the internets. Here they are:

    • Do you like last week’s link to a list of links for when you’re having a bad day? Here’s another one. (I’ve been quite busy this week, so these links are very helpful in bringing a little bit of sunshine into my days.)
    • As I’ve stated many, many times before, I’m a bad blogger. Sometimes I post five times a week, some other times I don’t post anything at all for weeks. Right now I’m reviving it and while I’m not really starting from scratch, these tips have been super useful.
    • I’m sure most of you have your own bucket lists, but how about a reverse bucket lists?
    • A few days ago, I woke up to an email from Being Geek Chic. It’s a nice essay about the term “cat lady” which has more of a negative connotation nowadays. (Seriously, if you haven’t joined their mailing list, go join!) They also give us this super cute cat people desktop wallpapers free to download.
    • Have you seen Kim Kardashian’s new hairstyle? I came across a tweet saying that she looks like Lucius Malfoy and I cracked up. Then Tom Felton posted this.
    • An old post of mine about keeping secrets, in case you haven’t read it yet.

  • Fifteen Days with Jess

    Jess in the Morning
Today marks the fifteenth day Jess lives with us. It’s been a fun adventure so far. She’s super sweet and funny (here’s a hilarious Instagram video of when she didn’t want to stand up). It took her only three days to know the secret spots inside our house. For a used-to-be stray cat, she’s adjusting pretty well. But yesterday I found her inside a trash bin in our kitchen, looking for something to eat, even though her food bowl was not too far away from there and it was full with dry food. She used to live in the street and looked for food in people’s trash cans. Perhaps she still needs more time to love dry food.
    Looking at a Fly
She is really curious, if not nosy. She watches me while I’m doing the dishes, doing the laundry, cooking, putting my make up. She even waits outside the bathroom door whenever I take a bath. She constantly tries to get inside but I always lock the door. She will jump and follow me once I’m out of the shower. She really loves me.
    Jess' Paw
But it is clear that she prefers Afief to me. There are days when she completely ignores me and keeps looking for Afief, who is at work. She won’t answer to me but voluntarily approaches him and naps on his lap while he’s on his laptop. Whenever he comes home after work, she will meow repeatedly and won’t stop until Afief pulls her up and hugs her. She is so spoiled by him.
    Selfie with Jess
We love her very much. She’s our little furry bundle of joy. She is still quite thin, but we will surely make her chubby 😉

  • Link-Up: The Guy Behind The Blog

Today, I’m joining the link-up on Heavens to Betsy. It’s called The Guys Behind The Blog. Every month, Betsy would post several question prompts for our guys to answer. It’s a nice idea to get to know what’s in our guys’ mind (you know, because guys tend to bottle it up inside their own minds). Here are my husband’s answer to this month’s questions:

1 // if you could write a book, what topic would you write about and why? Book about Unity programming and node.js. I went to the bookstore last weekend and couldn’t find anything about those two. Such a bummer.
2 // what is one thing on your bucket list, or one thing that you’d like to do or accomplish in your lifetime? I want to create a best selling game and make billions out of it!
3 // if you could look out your window and only see one view for the rest of your life, what would you want to see? A quiet beach/seashore.
4 // imagine you’re opening a shop, what are you selling? Raspberry and arduino.
5 // if you could have 50lbs of anything other than money, what would it be? A gaming PC. All 50lbs of them.
6 // time to brag on your girl…tell us one thing that makes you proud of your wife! She can do everything. Literally everything. I love everything about her. Except perhaps her fart. Haha!

    My comments:
Whoa, what a game nerd! Haha… Maybe I have to give you all a background story so his answers will make sense. My husband is a game developer and web programmer. That’s why almost all of his answers are relating to all that geeky stuffs. Also, we often fart in each other’s company, so to explain his answer for the last question. We’re not a classy couple, honestly :p
