  • oh hello, summer!

    {source}

    I’ve always loved summer.

    Well, okay. I live in a tropical country so there’s no summer for me. But, let’s consider this dry season as summer, shall we?

    I love it when I don’t have to go home soaking in the rain. I love it when I can leave my laundry hanging under the sun all day long without worrying that rain will re-wash them all. I love it when I can plan anything without being ruined by rain. I love it when there’ no rain.

    That, my friend, is one thing.

    There’s always two sides of everything, isn’t there? When there’s a good side, there will be a bad side.

    What I hate about the dry season summer is the cold wind in the night. Oh yeah, I have to sleep in my sweater all night. Even though it’s hot in the afternoon, the night and morning are usually very cold. And there are a lot of mosquitos, for God’s sake! Plus, if the dry season summer happens for too long, there will be drought. My family and I are lucky enough that there have never been any drought in our place. But, whenever the dry season summer comes, the water in our house gets very smelly.

    What about you, guys? What do you love/hate about summer/dry season? 🙂

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

  • this seminar kinda open my eyes about this blog

    Yesterday, I attended this seminar about blogging: how to increase your blog’s traffic, how to monetize it, how to use SEO, etc. I didn’t really get what they were trying to say (aside of promoting idBlogNetwork, idBlogilicious, and Berniaga.com), but it did make me think about this blog.

    You see, I’m just a girl trying to be recognised by the world through my blog. But I never really have a topic. I just write my daily activity, what I do, where I go, what songs I’m listening to, what movies I’m watching, and such things.

    Whenever I blogwalk blogstalk, I see that all these blogs I follow are blogs about daily life, but with a structured path. I mean, some of them post about what they wear today, some other post about crafty things they do. Those two things (fashion and crafts) seem to be what most of blogger girls do (and post). I’m not really into fashion, nor am I a crafty girl. What should I do, then? I’m just a human-who-happens-to-also-be-a-blogger, so it’s natural for me to want an army of followers and tons of people sponsoring my blog.

    I fell so worthless now. I feel unwanted. Nobody likes my writings. And this blog will die slowly but sure. *sigh*

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.
