    Hi! Sorry for the lack of new posts. There was a huge thing happened to my life yesterday. It might bring some big changes in my life, and it might affect this blog, too. So, I guess I’m taking a break for a few days from the blogosphere. I’ll still be available on other social media, though. You could also send me an email if you want.   • introducing: the nerdy elephant

    No, you’re not viewing a wrong blog. It’s still Putdar’s blog. And no, it’s not hacked. I’m the real Putdar. So why does this blog have a different name? That, my friend, is because I changed it.

    And about the reason… Well, I was googling myself (I love googling myself!) and I also googled ‘sincerely putdar’. Google suggested ‘sincerely jules’ and being the curious girl that I am, I clicked it. My browser then opened Sincerely, Jules. The blog is very cute and pretty! Jules is a super-fashionable girl. Suddenly I feel so small… Haha!

    Then I thought I really had to change my blog name. I didn’t want people to think of me as a copycat (well, I wasn’t, but still…) So Entin and I did a huge brainstorming in J.Co yesterday. I wanted my new blog name had the word ‘elephant’ on it. At first I suggested ‘The Dancing Elephant’. I googled it, but it was already taken by a studio. The next suggestion was ‘The Flying Elephant’, but it was taken too by an event organiser. After odd suggestions from Entin (dying elephant, crying elephant, bleeding elephant, big elephant, huge elephant, thin elephant, ninja elephant, zombie elephant, etc.), we came up with ‘The Nerdy Elephant’. I googled it and no blog or company used it. Yay! 😀

    And aside of changing the name of my blog, I also made new buttons. Old buttons still work, though, because I didn’t change my blog address. So, I would like to inform all of you who put my buttons on your blog that if you want to use the new buttons, you can find one on my right sidebar (right under my sponsors’ buttons) and there’s another one here. Feel free to grab them and put them on your blog 🙂

  • blogger is acting weird

    And I can't access my dashboard. It's driving me mad cause I really want to write a post about the trip we had yesterday 🙁

  • friday night movies #3

    Goedenavond, mijn vrienden! My Dutch is quite good, eh? Well, thanks to Google Translate :p

    I can’t believe how days go by so fast and it’s Friday night already! You know what that means? Yep, it’s Friday Night Movies time. Can everybody say ‘yay’? 😀

    Today, as usual, I watched two films. The first one was:

    In Her Shoes is a drama about two sisters who are very different. The older sister is a succesful lawyer working in a firm. The younger sister is a pretty party girl who likes to mess around with guys. She is, however, unemployed and still living with her father and step-mother. The step-mother kicks her out of the house after she comes home drunk, and she ends up living with her older sister. Her bad attitude soon puts her older sister in troubles. She even sleeps with her older sister’s boyfriend one night. When her older sister comes home and finds them in bed, she gets kicked out once again. Having nowhere to go, she finally decides to go to her grandmother’s place in an old flocks house. It’s when they are apart that they realise how much they need each other.

    In my opinion, this film is good. I like how the older sister eventually forgives her younger sister. In the end, everybody is happy. I like happy endings. I mean, who doesn’t? Haha!

    And this one… I’m sure you know this one. Due Date is a story about Peter (haha! Like Sarasvati’s song!) who has to rush home for her first child’s birth, but he gets kicked out of the plane because of a self-proclaimed actor, Ethan. With all his belongings still on the plane, Peter is confused and clueless because he doesn’t have any money to rent a car to go home to his wife. Ethan and his dog then show up with a rental car. Peter is forced to go home with Ethan, whom he doesn’t get along very well.

    This film is a very good laugh. I got very mad and frustated at Ethan and took a pity on Peter. Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis are good match. I love them! 😀

  • anybody wants to trade blog buttons with me?

    This week, Heather and Leelee posted on their blog, asking if anyone wants to do button trade with them and I have contacted both of them. I hope my button can make it on their sidebar. I also hope that it can bring a lot of new readers to my (weird) blog. My blogging-self-esteem needs a little booster 🙂

    Now, I think I want to ask you guys, too, if there’s anybody who wants to trade blog buttons with me. You can send a 200 x 120 button and your blog link to putdar2610@gmail.com, and I will send mine in the size you want. Here’s some rules regarding the trade:

    1. You have to follow my blog, and I will follow yours.
    2. Static buttons only.
    3. Personal blog buttons only. No companies.
    4. I only give space for seven buttons this month.
    5. All buttons will be added at the beginning of July.
    6. All buttons will be shuffled in the middle of the month.
    7. You have to put my button on your blog. I will check it. If you don’t put it, then your button will be taken off the list. (Well, it’s a button trade, fellas!)

    If you don’t have buttons, I would be very glad to make one for you. Just send me a picture and your blog link via email.
