  • hello, weekend!

I was the cute pig in Teaching English to Young Learners class

I’m so relieved that it’s Friday already. This week has been a hazy and crazy week full of group works and meetings (in fact, I’m writing this post in the middle of English for Office Administration group work). But even after the darkest night, dawn will come. I’ve just realised that I don’t have any assignments left to do for next week, which means that I’m free for the rest of the weekend!

That is why I’m gonna spend my whole weekend to watch the newest episode of New Girl (I love Zooey Deschanel!) and finish the second season of House, MD. Ohohoho… So excited! 😀

How about you? What is your plan for the weekend?

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

  • procrastinating at its finest

It’s 12.48am and I’m currently on 375 out of 4000 words I should write for my Intercultural Communication’s mini research. This afternoon I finished the final project for Teaching Evaluation slightly before the deadline (or so I thought). The exams week is just around the corner, so I know exactly that I should be studying and/or finishing those assignments.

But… yeah. I decided to watch a movie instead. For the umpteenth time this week. This time, it’s What’s Your Number?.

    what's your number?

I love Anna Faris’ voice. And Chris Evan’s body is just so… WOW! The story itself is easy to guess. I can’t say that it’s the best movie but it can do just fine. Visit the source of the poster to read the review.

Now, I really need to refill my cup of cappuccino and go back to doing my mini research. Bye now!

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

PS. Did I mention that Chris Evan’s body is, like, WOW?

Have you seen this movie? Well you should! Saw this on Monday with Mr Boyfriend and it was really, really awesome!

  • friday night movies #6

Look who didn’t keep her promise. I fell asleep last night before writing a Friday Night Movies post, so I think it might be okay for me to write it right now? On a Saturday night? Here it goes…

A few days ago, I watched Little Manhattan. This film tells about 10-year-old Gabe who falls in love with 11-year-old Rosemary. The story goes from when Gabe first questions what he is feeling, to the event when he realises that he is experiencing his first love. Near the end of the film, Gabe finally confesses his feeling for Rosemary, but Rosemary tells him that since she’s only eleven, she thinks she may not be ready to fall in love.

This film is really cute. I love Josh Hutcherson in Zathura, but I think he’s cuter in this film. And the girl who played as Rosemary is just as cute. They look good together. The story itself is very sweet. Love is always an interesting topic to talk about, but unlike any other romantic comedy films out there, this film is about children’s love, not adults’. It’s a good film to watch with your family since there’s no sexual content. This film is also good for a first date (or the 100th? Hehe…)

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

Tonight’s movie is very, very special. Why? Because I just watched the Deathly Hallows part 2! Woohoo! DH2 was just released today in my country, due to the dispute about tax and yada yada yada. But it’s okay, though, cause I HAVE WATCHED IT! (I’m a maniac :p)

The movie opens exactly where the first part left off, right after Harry buried Dobby. The scenes quickly change, from Shell’s Cottage, to Gringotts, to Hog’s Head, and to where the final scene takes place: Hogwarts. I’m not quite sure if it was just me, or the movie really runs in a very fast pace. I just sat there and then the movie ended. The whole series ended!

Anyways, I cried. From the middle part to the very last scene. I watched it with Angga, and he was like “Oi! Stop crying! I don’t wanna walk around the city with you and your swollen eyes!” Haha… But seriously, people, the part where the bodies of Fred, Tonks, and Lupin are lying on the floor is the saddest! Not to mention this one:

    “After all this time, Severus?”

    “Always.”

    God… :'(

Kay. Nuff rambling. I guess I don’t have to talk too much about the movie cause I’m sure you guys have watched it. Or if you haven’t watched it yet, I don’t want to give too much spoiler (although the spoilers actually have already been there in the form of seven novels :p)

Raise your glass for Severus Snape, the bravest wizard of all time!

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.
