  • See You Next Year, October!

Well, excuse me while I’m cleaning up the dust on this blog.

October came and passed by like a blink of an eye. It was nice. I had my birthday and it was on Sunday, so I could have a small date with Afief. It was no biggie; we only went to the mall, but felt so special. Well, to be totally honest, any day spent with him is special. He gave me an ukulele as a gift. I love it so much! So far I’ve learnt to play three songs with standard chords. More to come, of course 😉

Now that it’s November, it means that our big day is less than two months away. I’ve found myself even more distressed, but I haven’t cried yet at all! This is totally something. Also, it seems like we’ve found a place to live after the big day, plus we’ve booked our tickets and hotel rooms for our honeymoon. It’s all so exciting.

I’ve loved November and all its rain so far, but I just can’t wait for it to be over already. Sorry, November. But I know you’ll understand.

  • Luna’s Birthday

It was Luna’s birthday on Friday. We actually tried to celebrate it with cake donut and candle, but she didn’t seem to enjoy the party at all. She kept trying to get back on her feet whenever I took her for a hug and she kept running away whenever I tried to take her picture with the donut. The kitty had some grown up things to do, I guess. My sister managed to take a few pictures of us, though. So here it is…

Happy birthday, Luna. The family loves you.
  • Honeybees Went Out for Pizza and Ian’s Early Birthday Party

Today, the five of us finally had the chance to have a meet up to throw Ian her (early) birthday party. We went to Domino’s and bought the Two for Tuesday promo. We stayed there for hours before we finally left it for Daiso and Gramedia.

We talked about a lot of things and laughed together. Though we mostly talked about final paper, it was really fun to finally see them again. The college life will end very soon, and until that time, we won’t get the chance to see each other very often like we used to do in the early years. This kind of meet up will be very rare soon and that’s why we should cherish every minute that we spend together.

    Birthday gurl!

    Happy birthday, Ian!
    We love you very much.
  • Last Week in a Nutshell

The whole last week was cray, cray. I had four day-offs due to the National Examination yet I didn’t have time to blog anything because as soon as I came home, I passed out in bed. But last week was fun fun fun!

    Tuesday
On Tuesday, we went to Dunia Fantasi. It had been 10 years since the last time I went there. A lot of things had changed, including the line in every ride. We spent almost 1.5 hour waiting in a line to try the phenomenal ride Hysteria. And then we spent another 1.5 hour waiting in a line in McDonald’s to get our lunch. We ended up going home after having lunch since we’d got our ticket back home and we didn’t want to miss the train. But it was fun, though. It was the first time we went out of town together.
    Wednesday
Wednesday was the graduation day for some of our seniors. Attending their graduation day boosted up our willingness to finish our final paper as soon as possible. Haha!
    Saturday
A had his 23rd birthday on Thursday. I gave him a little surprise by coming to his place early in the morning, bringing one gift for his birthday and another one for our anniversay (which was on the same day). But the surprise wasn’t over yet, as I brought him a birthday cake (plus the unblowable candles) on Saturday. We had a good laugh for about 1 minute and 20 seconds as he tried (so hard) to blow the unblowable candles. He made it, though. Happy birthday, My Darling A! 🙂
  • Birthday Gifts

Last week, on Friday, I had my 21st birthday. And you know what is the most exciting part of having a birthday? No, not the aging, but the gifts! Oh yes, the gifts! (I’m 21, but still 5 on the inside…)

So, I’m skipping the regular Weekend is for… series to share with you what I got for my birthday. Here they are:

    1. Stuffed elephant and elephant sling bag

The stuffed elephant is from my mum, and the bag is from my sister. When I woke up that morning, there was a package at the end of the bed, near my feet. I opened it and I found these two. I carried the bag all day for Eid, actually ;p

    2. Tripod

This one is from my manfriend. He hid the gift under his table in his room, with the intention to surprise me. But he failed cause I already saw it. Haha! That same day, we went to the zoo and take some pictures together with the help of this tripod 🙂

    3. Chelsea FC jersey (Oh hoho! They rhyme!)

I was on a date with my manfriend yesterday when I got a text from Fajar, telling me to come to his place because he got ‘a surprise’ for me (well, by that time it was no longer ‘a surprise’ of course). And this was it. It is from the dudes and dudettes in BlowUP!.

    4. The Perks of being a Wallflower

It’s been some kind of a habit for me to get my own self a birthday gift. This year, I chose this novel because of reasons. One of them was Logan’s face on the cover, and another one was because people on the blogosphere seemed to be very, very excited about the upcoming movie adaptation of this novel since the book is (according to them) very, very good. But the main reason was Logan’s face, of course.

Thank you very much, everybody! I love you all.
    XOXO
