  • student community service: day 1 and 2

    Good afternoon from Garut!

Student Community Service finally started yesterday. We took off from Bandung at about 10 PM and arrived at downtown Garut at lunch time. We had lunch there before heading off to Sindangmekar, a village in which we are going to spend the next five weeks. Everything’s been good so far, except for the fact that my left foot is now bruised because of nothing. I’m quite sure that the whole five weeks is going to be fun. I’m going to miss P (badly!) but he said he would visit me next week. I’m going to miss my family too, especially my sister, but I may go home once or twice. I hope I can handle the homesickness. I told you I have never been away from home for more than ten days, so this service can be a sort of measurement on how much of a spoiled city girl I am. Haha!

Also, the internet connection from this village is not that good. I apologise if I become MIA in the next five weeks. But I surely will find some way to get a better connection.

    See you!

  • introducing you to menaq

This semester, I have to take Enterpreneurship class and for the final project, we have to create a business worth Rp15 million by the end of the semester. My group and I decided to create a clothing and accessories line called Menaq.

This morning, we opened a booth at an event in our campus. And this was how our booth looked like with all the stuffs we tried to sell. We managed to sell only one item, but we just started. Every journey starts with a small step, right? 🙂

This is Entin and I, wearing samples of our products: a flower ring and a headband. And I ended up buying the ring, because it looks very cute on my finger. And because it’s the exact same colour with my veil. Haha!

But I swear it does look very cute 😉

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

  • look what i got yesterday!

I was going to say “Happy Sunday, friends!” but then I remembered that it is Sunday, and it means that tomorrow is Monday. No, we can not be happy on Sunday. At least I can’t, because I have a midterm test tomorrow and I haven’t studied anything yet. (Oh well, you know… Procrastinators gonna procrastinate.)

Why haven’t I studied this weekend? Because yesterday I went to Geek Fest with Afief and Arif (not really a necessary reason, I know…) I may or may not put Geek Fest on a special post. Let’s see if the guys send me the pictures they took yesterday to me soon enough for me to post them here in my blog.

However, the main point of this post is actually to tell you that I bought The Hunger Games book, like I said I would.

After attending Geek Fest, I went to Rumah Buku to buy this book with a discount of 30%. I looked for the one with the old cover (because I like it better) but couldn’t find any, so I went home with the new one. And when I came home, this was already waiting for me:

This is the Blue Dolphin Plushie I won in a giveaway held by Capungmungil and other Indonesian crafters. It’s really cute, isn’t it? Thank you very much, Capungmungil!

Alright, then. Have a happy weekend, friends! Now I’m going to study. Or maybe not :p

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

  • hello, weekend!

I was the cute pig in Teaching English to Young Learners class

I’m so relieved that it’s Friday already. This week has been a hazy and crazy week full of group works and meetings (in fact, I’m writing this post in the middle of English for Office Administration group work). But even after the darkest night, dawn will come. I’ve just realised that I don’t have any assignments left to do for next week, which means that I’m free for the rest of the weekend!

That is why I’m gonna spend my whole weekend to watch the newest episode of New Girl (I love Zooey Deschanel!) and finish the second season of House, MD. Ohohoho… So excited! 😀

How about you? What is your plan for the weekend?

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.

  • first day of the sixth semester (+ giveaway winner!)

Where did the time go? The exams week feels like it was just yesterday and now the holiday has ended and the sixth semester has started! My, my… And because the holiday felt so short to me, I didn’t prepare well to go to campus today. I ended up leaving my notebook at home, so I took notes in my laptop. I finally used Microsoft Office OneNote for the first time. Didn’t know that it finally turned out to be so useful. Haha…

This semester I only take six classes for 15 credit hours plus 2 credit hours of KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata), so that’s 17 credit hours. It’s an anomaly for me, because I usually take 19-21 credit hours. It’s a lot, I know. But it’s quite normal in my country. Looking at my timetable, I have some free time. I’m planning to look for a part-time job, but my seniors tell me that the sixth semester is the hardest semester. Now I’m not sure anymore. What do you guys think? Should I look for a job or no?

On a different matter, I already have the winner of my very first giveaway! And the winner is:

Congratulations! I’ll inform you via Twitter so you can claim your prize. 🙂

For others who did not win, don’t worry. I already have other giveaway plans in my mind, so stick around! ;D

    Sincerely,
    Putdar.
