    Weekend Links | Hola Darla
If you’ve been following me on Twitter and Instagram, you might have known about Jesmin, the little kitten that I’d been fostering for these past three weeks(-ish). She was diganosed with meningitis by the vet on Friday and last night she passed away while I was holding her. Needless to say, this weekend is not as cheerful as usual, but I managed to put together several articles that I’ve found interesting this past week. Here they are:

    Happy weekend πŸ™‚

    Weekend Links | Hola Darla
The weather isn’t too friendly this week. I’ve been having a fair amount of cold so I take it slow this week, and therefore I have quite a lot of time to peruse the internet & catch up with some of my favourite blogs. I guess this is what I really need; to take things slow & not push myself too hard. I still have several projects to tackle down, but hey! At least it’s Saturday. And on Saturdays we are allowed to forget our work for a little while and have some fun!

Don’t forget to have fun this weekend!

Gah! Runny nose and an-hour-non-stop-sneezing are the worst, no? Both my husband and I are sick today, so we stay home all day and sleep in. I woke up at 5pm and it was the best day nap ever! But our internet connection is wonky tonight, so if this post doesn’t show up right, I’m so sorry. But here are your links:

    • My team, Chelsea FC, just bought Pedro from Barcelona. The football player was heavily connected to Manchester United during the transfer session this summer, but then… Surprise! He’s with Chelsea now!
    • As a non-native English speaker, often times I get held back from writing because of the grammar rules. Then I discovered that there are some rules in English grammar that we can actually break.
    • I’ve been sponsoring several blogs for the last couple months and Becky’s post about what to look for when sponsoring other blogs is very helpful. (I’m sharing my thoughts about this same topic next week).
    • Once upon a time in my life (or really, it was about three years ago), I got super sick of my city and decided to move out right after uni. Well, it didn’t happen but Sarah’s post reminded me of those moments and what I could’ve done if only I really took that path.
    • I can’t wait for the new season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter! But in the meantime, I’m squealing over the awesomeness that is SHIELD versus Carter DubSmash death match (for charity!)

    Get well soon to us!

Happy Sunday, friends! After weeks of drought, it finally rained last night. My plants are all happy and this morning the cold wind was blowing. While I know the dry season is still here until November (or so the weatherman said), the rain last night brought so much joy. It was much needed; a proof that small happiness matters.

    Right. Now links!

Tomorrow is Monday again! I wish you a productive, yet fun, week πŸ˜‰

Weekend Links is back again! Man, how I miss writing these links lists. I miss the entire Internet because I have been sleeping doing other things that I don’t have much time to explore the interwebz. These articles may not be new to you, as I’ve been catching up with what I’ve missed these past few weeks, but hopefully these are the ones you’ve missed to. Haha :p

    Links!

    • Since the word ‘selfie’ was invented, the act of taking one’s picture by oneself has been considered as something abnormal, e.g. a sign of chronic narcissism, etc. Kam’s point of view in her post about mirror selfies and how reflections tell better story is something to think about.
    • As I may have told you before, I was born with absolutely no artistic skills. I’ll spend the rest of my life envying people like Amanda and Will, who recently did a makeover for their bedroom by painting forest wall mural. How did they do it?!
    • Starting an online business just like I am? Here’s something to keep in mind: Online “Success” And “Failure” Don’t Look The Way You Think.
    • An interesting read about how the US is smaller than you think it is.
    • People in my country are crazy about “favourite schools”. But whose favourite are they? Parents’ or their kids’? *written in Bahasa Indonesia
